☁️ Cloud Cake Recipe
🧾 Ingredients:
- 4 eggs (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup (90g) all-purpose flour (maida)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Separate Eggs
- Separate the egg yolks and egg whites into two bowls.
2. Make Yolk Batter
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, milk, oil, and vanilla.
- Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix until smooth (no lumps).
3. Whip Egg Whites
- Beat the egg whites using a mixer.
- Once foamy, gradually add sugar.
- Beat until soft peaks form (light and fluffy).
4. Fold Mixture
- Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the yolk batter in 2–3 parts.
- Don’t overmix—keep it light and airy.
5. Bake
- Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F).
- Grease and line a cake pan.
- Pour batter into the pan.
- Place the pan in a water bath (bain-marie).
- Bake for 50–60 minutes.
6. Cool
- Let it cool slightly, then remove from the pan.
✨ Tips:
- Don’t overmix, or the cake will lose its fluffiness.
- Water bath helps keep the cake soft and moist.
- Make sure egg whites are beaten properly for that “cloud” texture.
