☁️ Cloud Cake Recipe

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup (90g) all-purpose flour (maida)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Separate Eggs

  • Separate the egg yolks and egg whites into two bowls.

2. Make Yolk Batter

  • In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, milk, oil, and vanilla.
  • Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Mix until smooth (no lumps).

3. Whip Egg Whites

  • Beat the egg whites using a mixer.
  • Once foamy, gradually add sugar.
  • Beat until soft peaks form (light and fluffy).

4. Fold Mixture

  • Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the yolk batter in 2–3 parts.
  • Don’t overmix—keep it light and airy.

5. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F).
  • Grease and line a cake pan.
  • Pour batter into the pan.
  • Place the pan in a water bath (bain-marie).
  • Bake for 50–60 minutes.

6. Cool

  • Let it cool slightly, then remove from the pan.

✨ Tips:

  • Don’t overmix, or the cake will lose its fluffiness.
  • Water bath helps keep the cake soft and moist.
  • Make sure egg whites are beaten properly for that “cloud” texture.
